Meetings

President's Round Table meetings are held three (3) times per year after each board meeting (except after Region Conference) in each district for club presidents and by invitation, other club officers for the purpose to providing information on district, region, federation and international programs/events.  The date, time & location is detemined by the district director.  A written and/or oral report should be given to the club members of all that is discussed.

The district meeting is held annually in September or October. The meeting is an opportunity to educate members regarding International, Federation, Region, and District activities. It is the forum for district representatives on region committees to assist the clubs in the implementation of the activities of the committees.

Leadership training is held annualy for club officers and members, at a time and location selected by the region board, in order to provide opportunities for leadership and personal development of members.

The Region Conference is held the first weekend in May (that does not include Mother’s Day) for the purpose of conducting the business of the Region.  Every sixth year, the conference will be held in District V. Friday will be dedicated for Legislative Advocacy and Fellowship and Sunday is dedicated to presenting the district and region level awards.

Soroptimist International of the Americas holds their convention every two years for the members in the 28 regions of SIA.  There are 15  regions in the United States, 5 in Japan, 2 in Canada, 2 in South America, and 1 each in Korea, Taiwan, The Philllipines and Mexico/Central America.

Soroptimist International holds their convention once every four years for the members in their 4 federations:  Soroptimist International of the Americas, Soroptimist International of  Europe, Soroptimist International of Great Britain & Ireland, Soroptimist International of South West Pacific, and Soroptimist International of the Future African Federation.
