We are partnering with “Dress a Girl Around the World” organization and SI/Antioch to do a region-wide service project in honor of our 100 Year Anniversary. We are joining the dedicated volunteers throughout the United States and around the world to sew dresses for girls in need because we believe that every girl deserves at least one dress.

What Difference Does a Dress Make?
By providing a new dress you may well be changing a young girl’s destiny. We all know that a new dress makes us feel good, so imagine never having had one! A new dress tells each precious girl that God loves them, that someone else loves them enough to have made this dress especially for them. THAT makes a difference in how she feels about herself and can definitely change her destiny.
What color fabric should we use?
Dresses can be any color! Use your gift of creativity to make the cutest dress possible! However there are some fabric designs that we cannot accept: American theme fabric, holidays theme, skulls, religious. Use your best judgement and remember these are going to girls in underdeveloped countries.
What type of fabric is best?
Please only use 100% cotton or a cotton/polyester blend that is not thin (see-through).
Note: Avoid white or lightweight fabric (ie. Gingham etc).

You can donate fabric, beads, bias tape, lace, elastic, rickrack or buttons.

Human Trafficking Awareness
As Hope 4 Women International distributes dresses to girls in need, they educate the girls and their parents/guardians of the traps of human trafficking and like to include this "awareness" during their time of dressing girls. This label is attached to the outside all of our dresses before they are sent out to girls around the world. Labels will be affixed to finished garments by Chair Cara Begley.
